Ryan Van Liere

Ryan Van Liere, a native of Salt Lake City , began playing the bassoon at the age of 14 while living in Charlotte , North Carolina .  He received his Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester , New York and his Master of Music from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow , Scotland , where he received a full tuition scholarship and stipend.
  He has performed with the Utah Chamber Orchestra as well as numerous community orchestras in the Salt Lake Valley and  has appeared as a soloist with the West Valley Symphony, the Granite Youth Symphony, the RSAMD Symphony, and the Utah Symphony on their annual Salute to Youth concert.  When he’s not playing his bassoon, he enjoys making reeds, teaching, wine tasting, working for the airlines, and traveling.
